The Process
It begins with colour
Diana rarely paints with colour straight from the tube. Each work begins at the palette, where pigments are mixed by hand until the right harmony appears for that painting.
This is where the character of a piece is set. Small shifts between one tone and the next carry the light and atmosphere of the islands into the finished work.
